A 31-year-old man drove to his twin sister’s house and fatally shot her and her toddler.

A 31-year-old man identified as Grant Wilson has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of his twin sister, Gabrielle Wilson, and her 17-month-old daughter.

Authorities said Wilson drove to his sister's home in Poteau, located in eastern Oklahoma, and shot both victims before fleeing. The details were confirmed by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Law&Crime, deputies from the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at around 4 p.m. on March 21 to a residence on Old Darby Road for a reported cardiac arrest. However, upon reaching the scene, paramedics informed they were dealing with a shooting.

Authorities entered the house and found Gabrielle Wilson lying on her back with a gunshot wound to her chin. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities reported finding several silver-colored bullet casings near her.

“There was visible blood spatter on the floor and high on the wall behind her,” officers said in the affidavit.

Deputies then searched the bedroom, where they found the toddler, who has not been publicly identified. She had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and had a sling in her hair, according to the affidavit.

The twins’ father later arrived and told police that his son had “a history of violent arguments and physical altercations” with Gabrielle Wilson. He also said that his son allegedly owned the same caliber used in the shootings.

Security footage from a neighbor showed Wilson arriving to his twin sister's house at 9:00 a.m. on March 21 and leaving at about 9:04 a.m., which investigators indicate the killing happened under four minutes.

Authorities issued an alert for the suspect vehicle. Traffic cameras later captured the license plate at 11:30 a.m. on March 22, just south of Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which is roughly around 700 meters from the crime scene. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but Wilson fled briefly before officers arrested him.

Police said they recovered two .40 caliber Glock handguns consistent with shell casings found at the scene. Wilson is being held in Georgia and is awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.
