Argument Ends When Man Shoots Dead His Mom's Boyfriend, Houston Police Say

A man shot dead the boyfriend of his mom and now faces a murder charge, police said.
Last week, Houston police announced they arrested Omar Alexander Quiroz, 20, in connection to the killing.
Around 3 p.m. on Aug. 29, officers responded to an apartment complex to a reported shooting. When police arrived, they found a 35-year-old man shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s name has not been released, but he was dating Quiroz’s mother, according to police.
The suspect left after the shooting but returned and turned himself in to police.
Investigators said that Quiroz shot the victim after they got into an argument inside the apartment. There was no word on what the argument was about.
Quiroz was charged with murder and booked into jail.
