Two men were fatally shot in Houston and now a 19-year-old woman has been charged with capital murder, police said.
In June 2021, police responded to West Tidwell Road for a shooting, according to Houston police. Two victims — Elia Penzloza, 33, and Buenaventurea Miguel Tapia, 37 — were killed in the incident.
A black man was seen shooting at the victim’s vehicle, a black Ford pickup truck as they tried to flee the area, according to Houston police. Both victims were shot, and the truck crashed into an apartment building.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to the hospital, where he too was pronounced dead.
The shooter fled the scene in an SUV.
Investigators identified 19-year-old Fatna Houida as a suspect in the shooting and she was arrested last week. Houston police say at least one other unidentified suspect remains at large.
Houida was charged with capital murder.
