Indiana Woman Fatally Shoots Daughter’s Boyfriend After He Drives Through Yard, Holds Husband at Gunpoint: Police

A man in Indiana is dead after he allegedly attacked a man whose wife witnessed the incident and then shot him, authorities said.
According to the Indiana State Police, around 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 7, deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call from a residence in Salem.
At the scene, officers found Michael Chastain, 45, suffering a gunshot wound and emergency responders rushed him to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation, the sheriff’s office said, determined Chastain was armed when he drove through the yard where he was found shot, grabbed the homeowner and pointed a gun to the man’s head, forcing him to get down on the ground.
Police said the homeowner’s wife witnessed the incident and used a handgun to shoot Chastain.
