A teenager who police say gunned down a 64-year-old man with a "ghost gun" in an Illinois suburban forest preserve was arrested, according to police.
WGN-TV reported that police arrested Jaylen Lewis, 19, of Calumet City, Illinois on Nov. 22 when they found a Chevy Malibu stuck in dense brush while trying to go in reserve. Officers had been called to a shots fired incident at around 12:25 p.m. at the Green Lake Woods Forest Preserve.
Police say Lewis tossed a gun, which was later determined to be a "ghost gun," a weapon with no serial number that is put together from parts, and backpack.
According to WGN, police then found a 64-year-old man from Lansing shot dead on the ground.
Lewis is charged with first-degree murder.
