A Woman Punched A 3-Year-Old And Then Claimed That The Toddler Called Her A Name: Report

A toddler allegedly called a woman a derogatory name, so she punched him, according to a report.
Recently, police in Evansville, Indiana, arrested Laticia Sharp, 42, in connection to the case, according to WFIE.
Officers initially responded to a domestic battery in progress, according to the report. A 3-year-old boy was found in the home wearing pajamas and had blood all over his face.

A witness said Sharp and the child were watching TV together, and then she punched the toddler out of nowhere, according to WFIE.
Sharp told investigators that she hit the child because he called her a derogatory name, according to WFIE.
The witness also said Sharp hit him as he yelled at her for hitting the child, the report noted. She then left the home. Officers found her hiding in her backyard.
Police charged her with battery on a person less than 14 years old and simple assault.
