A missing 11-year-old girl was found in a man’s home and now he faces a criminal charge, according to reports.
Dylan Clark was arrested this week in connection to the incident.
According to Fox 59, the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois reached out to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana to check on a home to see if a missing child was there.
Investigators believed the girl had chatted with 19-year-old Clark online. Clark drove to pick up the girl in Illinois and drive back to Indiana. The two were separated by about 120 miles, according to Fox 39.
Authorities went to Clark’s home and knocked on the front door. There, deputies found the 11-year-old girl inside, according to the report.
The victim said there was no sexual contact between the two and she said she didn’t know why she decided to go to Indiana with Clark.
Clark faces a kidnapping charge and is currently being held in an Indiana jail.
