Indianapolis man allegedly murdered by his childhood friend over a girl

A man was shot and killed at an Indianapolis apartment complex on Jan. 30, and the victim’s family say he was murdered by his friend over a girl.

Around 8:30 p.m., police arrived at the 12000 block of Aristocrat Drive North in Indianapolis, Indiana, for a shooting, FOX 59 reported.

Authorities found a man lying on the ground at the Carriage House East Apartments, according to FOX 59.

Police believe the victim, identified as Marlin Kiser, was ambushed and shot outside his home, FOX 59 reported.

This week, police arrested Andre Johnson, 29, and he was charged with murder, according to FOX 59.

Security cameras showed the suspect’s license plate as he drove away. Police tracked Johnson because he was wearing a GPS monitor due to a previous criminal case, FOX 59 reported.

Kiser’s family claimed he was killed by Johnson, who was one of his childhood friends, after a dispute over a girl, FOX 59 reported.

Court records claim Johnson waited for two hours to ambush Kiser, according to FOX 59.

Johnson is being held in the Marion County Jail without bond, FOX 59 reported.
