A woman posted on Snapchat that she murdered her stepmother and made a to-do list that included a reminder to kill the victim, police said.
This week authorities in Iowa announced the arrest of 34-year-old Samantha Faith Bevans and 38-year-old Tacoa Talley. They were both charged with first-degree murder and face life in prison.
They were arrested in connection to the death of Jodie Bevans, who was Faith’s stepmother.
According to the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation, Jodie Bevans was found unresponsive at a home in Palo, Iowa, on July 15. Her death was ruled a homicide, though the cause was undetermined.
Police said Samantha Bevans made threats to harm her stepmom, according to the Vinton Eagle. Samantha had also written on a note to “Kill Jodie.”
There was also a Snapchat created by Samantha Bevans when she admitted to killing her stepmom, according to the Eagle.
During an interview, Samantha Bevans admitted she and an accomplice killed her stepmom, according to the report.
