Florida Man Accused Of Attacking Man In Cemetery Who He Just Offered Job

A Florida man allegedly offered a job to a man and then proceeded to attack and rob him before fleeing, authorities said.

George Moorman, 39, allegedly approached a Hispanic man at Bravo Supermarket in Fort Myerswho waswaiting for jobs and offered him $150 if he would work for him for three hours, WBBH-TV reported, citing the Fort Myers Police Department.

After the man agreed, he got into Moorman’s Kia sedan. Moorman drove with the man to a cemetery, where he allegedly dragged the man out of the vehicle and attacked him, stealing cash and a cell phone from his pockets, police said.

After Moorman fled, the man walked for help and eventually found a phone to call 911, according to police.

Officers located Moorman on Oct. 25 and arrested him for robbery and seized his vehicle.

He was being held at the Lee County jail.
