According to WLKY, Jones’ mom took the couple’s child to get away as Jones and Minor were arguing. That is when the mom reported hearing a gunshot. She said she saw Minor leave the apartment and put a gun in his pocket.

She asked if he shot his daughter, and Minor took out the gun and asked if she was going to call police, according to the report.

The mom put her phone away and asked him again, and Minor said he shot her in the leg, according to WLKY.

The mom went inside the home to find Jones shot in the torso, according to the report. By that time, Minor had fled the scene.
