A man shot and killed his girlfriend in an ongoing domestic dispute and now faces a murder charge, police said.
Around 9 p.m. Oct. 17, Ashland police were sent to a residence in the 3000 block of Montgomery Avenue in Ashland, Kentucky, for a medical emergency where someone was reported to be overdosing.
When they arrived, officers found Angel Brianna Rowe, 24, with a gunshot wound. EMS arrived and determined she was deceased, according to police.
Investigators determined that a domestic disturbance had been ongoing between Rowe and her boyfriend, Talon A. Bensinger, 20.
Police found Bensinger nearby and detained him for the investigation, and later identified him as the suspect in Rowe’s shooting.
Bensinger has been charged with murder and is currently in Boyd County Detention Center.
