Las Vegas Man Drives Under Influence, Then Hits An Officer And Paramedic In Car Crash

A man in Las Vegas is accused of driving under the influence and causing a crash. Two people sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver allegedly attempted to flee the scene. Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the suspect.
The incident is being treated as a hit-and-run involving two on-duty government employees.
Man Strikes Over Officer And Paramedic In Car Crash
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a crash late April 22. Officers were dispatched to the scene near 1941 Lake Mead Boulevard at about 7:46 p.m.
A vehicle crashed into an ambulance, injuring two people nearby. Police said the driver appeared impaired.
Authorities said the suspect struck a paramedic from the ambulance and a police officer near a parking lot along North Decatur Boulevard.

Victims Suffered Non-Serious Injuries As Suspect Fled
Right after crashing into the victims, the driver of the car immediately fled the crime scene. Meanwhile, the injured paramedic and officer were rushed to the hospital, where they received treatment. Additionally, the impact of the crash also damaged an ambulance and surveillance patrol vehicle, which belonged to the victims.
According to the reports, the driver jumped out of the car when he lost control of it. The cops investigating the hit-and-run are still on the lookout for the suspect. No other information regarding the condition of the officer and paramedic has been made public.
Authorities have launched a formal investigation to locate the driver in Las Vegas who allegedly struck a paramedic and a police officer while under the influence. Police said the driver fled the scene, and efforts are ongoing to locate him.
Multiple DUI incidents have been reported in and around Las Vegas. On April 21, a suspect allegedly stole a car and crashed it into other vehicles near the Las Vegas Strip. Police were first notified of the theft in the afternoon, and the vehicle was later seen driving at a high speed near West Flamingo Road and Del Nord Street.
Responding officers tried to stop the suspect driving the stolen vehicle, but it sped up and drove south. The driver later crashed into two other vehicles near Las Vegas Boulevard and Reno Avenue.
While the suspect initially attempted to flee the scene, he was ultimately apprehended by police following a foot pursuit and arrested on the spot. The driver was taken for a medical examination as a precaution after the crash. No other injuries were reported.
