Shortly before 8 p.m. on Sept. 25, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 1800 block of Bullrun Road in Louisiana in reference to two people being shot, according to police.
Police determined that Patrick Waddle, 38, arrived at the residence and began shooting from outside.
A man and a woman were both struck during the shooting, and were transported to hospitals for treatment. Police have not realeased a motive for the shooting, but said both victims of the shooting knew Waddle.
At that time, detectives issued arrest warrants for two counts of attempted first-degree murder for Waddle. Police saw Waddle enter the woods off Bullrun Road and tried to arrest him.
Waddle fired multiple shots at Louisiana State Police Troopers while fleeing the area, injuring one trooper. Around 4:15 a.m. on Sept. 26, Waddle was taken into custody without further incident.
