Man kidnapped 8-year-old child near park in California, cops say

A California man has been arrested after he allegedly kidnapped an 8-year-old child at a park.
Police were called to Rahilly Park at the 3400 block of N. Parsons Ave. in Merced, California, around 3:45 p.m. on Nov. 30 for a possible kidnapping of a child, FOX 26 reported.
The parents reported their child was playing near Rahilly Park when confronted by a transient man that forced her inside his tent next to the bike path, according to FOX 26.
The child escaped and returned to her home, FOX 26 reported. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries, according to FOX 26.
Officers searched the area and found a man who was identified as Rolando Gonzalez, FOX 26 reported.
Gonzalez was booked into the Merced County Jail for kidnapping and annoying/molesting a child, according to FOX 26.
