A Connecticut man has been charged with murder after he called 911 and told authorities he killed his mother near a park, according to authorities.
Around 8:30 a.m. on June 5, Eric Meagan, 34, called police and told them his location before he started describing “the events that led to the incident” in New Milford, according to the New Milford Police Department.
Once officers arrived at the scene adjacent to Harrybrooke Park, they found Meagan’s mother, identified as 56-year-old Victoria Palmer, officials said.
First responders provided medical care at the scene for Palmer before she was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, authorities said.
