A 60-year-old man from Arizona, identified as Robert Marin, has been arrested after he allegedly killed his estranged wife over an argument. Marin allegedly shot his estranged wife, Heather Marin, and stood over her body in the garage. When their teenage daughter confronted him, he was nonchalant and casually walked out smoking a cigar.
Man faces murder charges for allegedly killing his estranged wife.
The incident occurred on March 16, when Marin, along with his estranged wife, got into a verbal argument regarding their teenage daughter spending the night with him. According to the daughter, she heard her mother pleading, “Please don’t kill me, please don't kill me.”
According to the probable cause affidavit obtained by Law&Crime, the daughter yelled at Marin, “Why would you do this?” when she came across the ghastly scene at the garage in Marin’s Phoenix home.
Marin allegedly responded by shrugging his shoulders and walking out of the garage. He then returned to smoke a cigar over his wife’s body, according to the affidavit. The daughter then called 911 after attempting CPR on her mother.

The teenage daughter said during the argument, Marin expressed hatred towards her mother, from whom he was informally separated and in the process of divorcing.
The daughter explained she had also confronted her father with her concerns over the dynamics of the separation, which likely fueled the tension in the argument.
As the argument escalated, Marin made a phone call to the victim, saying that he “cannot deal with their daughter anymore and did not want the daughter to stay any longer.”
The daughter then went to her bedroom, where she made a phone call to her boyfriend. She received two calls from her mother, one at 8:39 p.m. and another at 9:09 p.m., but she did not answer either because she was concerned it would further upset her father, according to the affidavit.
After the unanswered call, she heard screaming from the garage. As she walked through the garage entrance from the house, she distinctly heard her mother pleading with Marin not to kill her.
When the police arrived, they saw Marin standing over the victim’s body with his shirt soaked in blood. He knelt down after the authorities arrived and did not resist or speak during the process. He was taken into custody by the police.
