On the scene, police learned that 28-year-old Devin Hansen and his wife, Yasmin Grijalva, 35, were visiting his parents house from out of state when they got into an argument, and Hansen allegedly shot Grijalva, according to court documents obtained by WTVT-TV.

The couple were reportedly married since 2022, but Hansen had been residing in Virginia, while Grijalva had been staying in Michigan with their 1-year-old son, officials said.

Grijalva was in Florida for a work-related event, and Hansen joined her, WTVT-TV reported.

Police said Hansen fled in a black Cadillac CTS before they arrived at the scene of the shooting.

Grijalva was transported to the hospital via ambulance, and an officer rode along.

While in transit, the officer spotted a black Cadillac chasing the ambulance on the interstate. Nearby officers tried to stop the vehicle, and a pursuit ensued. The Cadillac eventually crashed into some big landscaping rocks.

He was being held in the Pinellas County jail.
