A man in Maryland is accused of beating and stabbing his stepson to death, police said.
The Prince George’s County police in Maryland said on Oct. 11 that officers arrested 68-year-old Jamie Porras in connection to the murder of 53-year-old Kelly McClary.
Around 7 a.m. on Oct. 7, police responded to a home for a reported death.
When they arrived, officers found McClary dead, according to police. The victim suffered blunt force trauma and stab wounds.
Police said Porras was McClary’s stepfather and he was identified as the suspect.
A motive in the case has not been released.
Porras was charged with first- and second-degree murder. He is being held in a Maryland jail without bond.
