3-year-old murdered at Miami birthday part, police plead with public for help to find killer
A 3-year-old was murdered over the weekend at a birthday party in Florida and police are offering a reward to find his suspected killer.
The shooing happened on April 24 on NE 158th Street, according to Miami-Dade police. Officers responded and found the toddler who had been shot.
The victim was identified as Elijah LaFrance.
Officers put LaFrance in a police cruiser and drove him to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to police.

A second victim was also found and taken to the hospital. That victim, an adult woman, was listed in stable condition, according to police.
Investigators say the shooting happened as the victims attended a child's birthday party at a short-term rental. The suspect fled from the area and remains at large.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at (305) 471-TIPS or (866) 471-8477. Tips can also be made through CrimeStoppers. Those who provide information could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
