On June 15, police in Flat Rock conducted a wellness check at the home Christina Ann Lowe, 30, shared with her 37-year-old husband, Amos Glen Lowe, after she failed to show up at work.

According to Wayne County prosecutors, officers discovered the victim dead from wounds to her neck.

“It is alleged that the defendant killed his wife by stabbing her multiple times in the neck with a knife,” prosecutors alleged.

The following day, the Flat Rock Police Department put out an alert, and on June 17, the suspect, described as an albino Black male, was arrested at a hotel, Detroit’s WDIV-TV reported.

“He was located by the U.S. Marshal Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team in the city of Southgate,” law enforcement said, according to the News-Herald. “Our thoughts go out to the victim’s family, and we would ask that the community keep them in their thoughts and prayers as they try and deal with this tragic event.”

The couple allegedly had been going through marital issues at the time of the victim’s death, according toWDIV-TV.

The suspect faces a first-degree murder charge.
