Lauren Bullis’ dog has made it home safely. Bullis, who worked with the Department of Homeland Security, was recently killed, and authorities identified Olaolukitan Adon Abel, a British citizen who was granted U.S. citizenship in 2002, in connection with the case.

Her French bulldog went missing after she was killed while taking him on a walk. According to a report by the New York Post, the dog has now been found.

The incident unfolded around 7 a.m. on April 13, when Lauren was out on a morning walk with her dog. She was stabbed to death in the Atlanta area, and her dog, Sancho, went missing.

In a new statement, the slain DHS staffer’s husband, Jimmie Bullis, said, “Sancho is home safe.” He also noted that the rest of the family is “okay” now.

Authorities said Bullis was among the victims in a series of attacks on Monday that left two women dead and another man in critical condition. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin expressed concern over the matter.

In an official statement, Mullin wrote, “These acts of pure evil have devastated our Department, and my prayers are with the families of the victims.” According to authorities, the suspect randomly targeted one of his victims, a man who was left in critical condition.

The first woman was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the Decatur area around 1 a.m. on April 13. She was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. Authorities have yet to identify her publicly.

Just an hour later, a homeless man was shot multiple times in Brookhaven. The man remains hospitalized in critical condition. “It is apparent to us that it was a completely random attack on a member of our unhoused community,” said Brookhaven Police Chief Brandon Gurley.

Then, around 7 a.m., Bullis was killed at the scene, authorities said. The suspect was arrested during a traffic stop in Troup County. He is facing charges of aggravated assault, two counts of malice murder and firearms charges.

In a statement, the Department of Homeland Security wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lauren was a bright spot for so many of the DHS community. She brought warmth, kindness, and a genuine sense of care to her colleagues each day. This horrific incident is a devastating loss for the entire DHS community.”
