A daycare director assaulted a toddler and now faces a felony charge, police said.
This week, police in Flowood, Mississippi, announced the arrest of Jenetta Morgan. She was charged with child abuse and booked into jail on $100,000 bond.
Morgan is the director of the Circle of Friend Learning Center in Flowood, police said.
On July 26, officers learned of an allegation of child abuse at the center. The father of a 2-year-old told police Morgan assaulted the toddler, according to WDBJ.
The toddler suffered bruises and scratches on her face, the report noted.
Police said they investigated and found the allegations true, though they did not say what led to the alleged assault.
