A Louisiana woman is accused of filing a false report after she told police her child was abducted, authorities said.
On March 17, officers with the New Orleans Police Department took Andrewnisha Delmore, 29, into custody after she got into a domestic dispute and alleged her child was kidnapped, WGNO reported.
Detectives launched a citywide search for the child before determining Delmore had left the child with a neighbor and then contacted authorities to make the false report, police said.
Delmore faces a charge of filing false public records.
