New York Woman Charged With Attempted Murder Tried to Drive Into Hudson River With 2-Year-Old Son on Lap: Cops

A New York woman was arrested on an attempted murder charge after she allegedly tried to drive her vehicle into the Hudson River with her toddler son on her lap, authorities said.
Around 5 a.m. on May 6, police in Albany responded to a report of someone in a vehicle attempting to drive into the river at a boat launch, WTEN reported.
At the scene, officers found Santisha Lopez, 23, with her 2-year-old boy on her lap inside the vehicle, which was stuck on a curb near the river, according to officials.
Police said an investigation determined Lopez had been in a domestic-related incident shortly before driving to the boat launch.
