Amid social media speculation about Nancy Guthrie’s son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, and his potential involvement in her kidnapping, he has now seemingly spoken on camera for the first time. A video, allegedly filmed by true crime YouTuber Mark the Shark, is circulating online.

The clip appears to show a street outside Annie Guthrie and Tommaso Cioni’s home. A man appears outside and asks the YouTuber what he is doing. The cameraman replies that he is just filming the road.

Tommaso Allegedly Told the Cameraman to Leave Him Alone

Tommaso Cioni allegedly told the cameraman to leave him alone.

The man then says something inaudible, and the YouTuber responds, “I’ll leave.” As the man goes back inside, the cameraman says it was Cioni. “That was Tommaso. Holy s***! That’s the first time I’ve seen Tommaso talk,” the cameraman said.

From the video, it can not be inferred what Cioni said to the YouTuber. However, according to former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent Jennifer Coffindaffer, Nancy Guthrie's son-in-law said, “Please leave me alone.”

A number of independent investigators have shifted base to Tucson, Arizona, since Nancy Guthrie went missing.

Some of these investigators have been circling Nancy Guthrie and Annie Guthrie's homes in search of clues. Authorities have already cleared Cioni of any suspicion. However, some journalists continue to believe that he played a role in his mother-in-law’s kidnapping.

Conspiracy theorists point out that Nancy went to dinner with Annie Guthrie and Tommaso Cioni on the night of her disappearance, and that Cioni was the last person to see her as he dropped her off at home in his car. The car, a blue Honda CR-V, was also seized early in the investigation but has now been returned to the family.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has repeatedly stated that none of Nancy’s family members are considered suspects in the case. Annie’s sister, Today show host Savannah, is also said to be angry with journalists who are blaming Cioni for the crime.

The video of Cioni speaking on camera comes at a time when reports indicate that he has passed a polygraph test as part of the investigation. Tommaso Cioni, along with Annie, Savannah, and their brother Camron, has cleared the test, which again suggests the family’s innocence.

The claim was made by former SWAT team leader Chad Ayers on The Megyn Kelly Show. Ayers said, “I can report that it has been confirmed this morning, and I'm sure we all assume this-that every family member passed polygraphs with flying colors.”

The host, Kelly, said the report would finally put to rest speculation about Annie Guthrie and Tommaso Cioni’s roles in Nancy Guthrie's disappearance. She said, “That information is huge. So then that means-I don't know, some people don't believe in the polygraphs, I do-but if that's true, then we can move on from the brother-in-law and the sister.”

Nancy Guthrie has been missing since February 1. Authorities believe that she was forcefully taken from her home in Catallina Foothills. The investigation is nearing 50 days, but the authorities have not named or arrested any suspects to date.
