A Fort Bragg paratrooper was shot dead at an apartment, and police said they arrested two murder suspects.

When they arrived, officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim died at the scene and was identified as Nicholas Antonito Bob, 22, police said. He was a paratrooper at nearby Fort Bragg Army base.

Police said the victim’s vehicle was taken after the killing.

No motive was released, but authorities said the shooting did not appear to be random.

This week, police arrested two suspects in connection to the case. Nizer Marquise Bennett and Timothy Renae Nava were both arrested in the Durham, North Carolina, area. They were both charged with first-degree murder and other counts in connection to the shooting.
