A 71-year-old is accused of gunning down an acquaintance last month, officials said.
On Aug 2., the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office in New Jersey announced the arrest of David A. Bulk, 71, in connection to the incident. He was charged with first-degree murder and a second-degree weapons offense in connection to the murder of 49-year-old Gerard Carpinello.
Around 3:15 a.m. on July 10, New Jersey State Police responded to a shooting at a home in Millstone, New Jersey, prosecutors said.
When troopers arrived, they found Carpinello at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he died on July 29.
Bulk was at the scene and taken into custody.
He was initially released on bond but then rearrested on the murder charge.
Officials did not say what led to the alleged shooting.
