An elderly man living in a Florida nursing home is accused of fatally beating another resident who was found dead on his bed, police said.

An employee phoned 911 and reported Mody, 72, “had blood on his hands, and [the victim] had a busted lip.”

“I could look at her as soon as I walked in and knew she was expired. I felt for a pulse, and there was no pulse,” the nursing home employee told an emergency dispatcher, according to the station.

Mody allegedly confessed he committed the murder, the employee claimed.

“I said, ‘What happened?’ He goes, ‘She wandered in my room… And I said, ‘Well, what did you do? I see her lip’s busted. What else did you do to her?’ And he goes, ‘I choked her,’” the caller told the 911 dispatcher.

According to WESH, Mody’s room was located in the memory care wing of the facility.

Mody was being held without bond on a second-degree murder charge.

Prior to the woman’s death, Mody was accused of attacking another resident, according to the employee.
