NASSAU POLICE ARREST MAN THEY SAY KILLED NICKY MINAJ'S FATHER IN HIT-AND-RUN
A 70-year-old is accused of killing the father of Nicky Minaj in a hit-and-run crash in Nassau, New York, earlier this month.
Nassau police announced Wednesday they arrested Charles Polevich, of Mineola, on charges of leaving the scene of an accident with a fatality and tampering with evidence.
He is suspected in the death of Rober Maraj, Minaj’s 64-year-old father.
Maraj was walking on Rosyln Road near the intersection of Raff Avenue around 6:15 p.m. Friday when he was hit by a vehicle, according to police. He later died at the hospital.
Leaving the scene of an accident with a fatality is punishable by up to seven years in prison.
