A man in New York threatened a fellow sex offender that he would “run my Jeep on your lap.” Then he did it.
Now, the killer must spend 25 years to life in prison.
Raymond George was convicted of the 2021 second-degree murder of 51-year-old James William in Cobleskill, according to News 10.
George drove his vehicle intentionally into a motel room, killing Williams and his two dogs, according to News 10.
George tried to argue he was intoxicated at the time of the wreck, but the jury did not believe him.
A witness told police they heard an argument between the two men, with George claiming he heard Williams say that he stole money, according to the Daily Star.
Both Williams and George were registered sex offenders and lived at the motel along with other convicted offenders, according to the Daily Star. George was convicted in 1993 of second-degree rape and attempted first-degree rape.
Williams laughed when George confronted him over the stolen money accusations, according to the report.
“Oh, you wanna laugh, you fat (expletive)? I’ll run my Jeep on your lap! You think I’m playing, you fat pedophile? I’ll show you!,” the witness recounted George saying, according to the Daily Star.
Another witness reported that he heard the two men arguing earlier in the day. One witness said he approached the scene and saw body parts and blood.
Some of the witnesses called 911 to report the incident.
“I didn’t see anything at first, but then I looked at the front of the building and saw the siding and stuff down and then I saw a hole in the building where my neighbor Jim lives,” on witness wrote in a police affidavit, according to the Daily Star. “I didn’t see Ray’s Jeep anywhere. I didn’t look inside the hole in the building because I was starting to get shaken up and I didn’t want to look inside.”
