Ohio man punches victim, says he'll die for bringing 'kung flu' to America: report

An Ohio man punched another man and told him, “you gonna die for bringing the kung flu here,” according to authorities.
On Aug. 17, Darrin Johnson, 24, assaulted the victim on Calhoun Street in Avondale, Ohio, according to police.
Court records stated the victim had visible injuries after the attack.
Police say Johnson ran from officers after they tried to speak to him following the alleged assault, but they caught him.

Johnson has been charged with assault and ethnic intimidation charges, according to authorities.
He appeared in court on Aug. 18, where he pleaded not guilty, officials said.
