An Ohio man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Florida Highway Patrol State Troopers conducted an extensive criminal investigation, which led to Donaldson’s arrest for DUI manslaughter. Toxicology results revealed Donaldson’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.180.
When troopers asked if he would do the field sobriety test, he said, “I can probably do the test.”
“But it doesn’t mean I’m right.”
He added, “I f—ed up, I don't think I need to offer anything. No matter how drunk I am, I f—ed up.”
On March 31, 2026, Donaldson entered a plea of “no contest” and was sentenced to 20.5 years in the Florida Department of Corrections.

What We Know of the Victims
The victims, Katherine “Kathy” Henson, 64, and David “Dave” Henson, 69, were described by family members as “two of the most giving, loving people any of us will ever know,” according to court records.
Kathy was a devoted mother and a registered nurse at the Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, while Dave was a restaurateur and a hospitality consultant, Herald-Tribune reported.
“It was not just something they said – it was something they did, every single day,” a victim impact statement reads.
“They helped with repairs at aging parents’ homes. They drove across the country to help a nephew move. They showed up without being asked, and they stayed as long as they were needed. Just days before they were killed, they had returned from a cruise with Kathy’s parents, Jack and Nancy, a memory our family will hold onto forever, and one of the last gifts they gave us.”
Kathy Henson reportedly supported students with disabilities before pursuing nursing. “She had a saying that guided her approach to life’s hardships: ‘We’ll laugh about this later.’ She always did – and she made sure the rest of us did too,” the statement continued.
On the other hand, Dave Henson always “showed up for his family with patience and encouragement.”
