A man locked himself and a victim in the garage of the home in he broke into and now faces a criminal charge, police said.
Around 7 p.m. on Nov. 12, police in Stillwater, Oklahoma, responded to a Berry Court home for a reported disturbance. When officers arrived, they found Trey Christopher and a resident inside a garage.
Investigators said Christopher went into the residence uninvited and claimed someone was going to harm him.
The resident ran into the garage to get away from Christopher and told him to leave multiple times, police said. Christopher then locked himself and the resident in the garage to prevent her from leaving.
The resident was able to contact police, though they didn’t say how, so they would respond. When police arrived, the resident was able to allow them into the garage.
Christopher was charged with kidnapping and first-degree burglary.
