Oklahoma Mass Shooting: Multiple Gunshot Victims Found Inside Car Near Arcadia Lake Campground

A mass shooting was reported in a campground near Lake Arcadia, Oklahoma . First responders were dispatched to the crime scene at 9:18 p.m. on May 3, 2026. They found a total of 15 gunshot victims upon arrival. Authorities claimed that 4 victims were inside a car.

Videos taken at the crime scene were later circulated on social media. They showed a heavy police presence. Further details of the mass shooting are yet to be released by the investigators.

According to a police scanner audio, approximately 15 gunshot victims were found near the Arcadia Lake area. Four of the victims were inside a car that was parked near East 15th Street and Timberlake Avenue.

The suspects have not yet been taken into custody, while first responders rushed several victims to the hospital. About 10 victims were transported to medical facilities by Oklahoma City-area emergency crews. Others were taken in personal vehicles to the nearest medical facility.

Preliminary reports of the mass shooting have not yet been confirmed. Authorities believe additional victims from the campground may be identified.

In the meantime, other videos on social media appeared to show a heavy police and security presence at the campground. A total of seven ambulances, 14 police units and three fire trucks were reportedly on scene.

The gathering at the campground was reported to be a party involving young adults. During the event, a fight broke out, which may have preceded the gunfire. Some of the attendees dialed 911 for help after the shooting. Police are interviewing several eyewitnesses to gather more information.

Some of the eyewitnesses have claimed to have seen more than three individuals flee to the nearby woods as soon as the gunfire started. Believed to be the suspects behind the attack, the police have yet to provide details on them and the motive for the attack.

Nearby hospitals have been put under lockdown for the time being, so that emergency medical aid can be provided to those injured in the mass shooting. The police, too, have ruled out any imminent danger to the public following the mass shooting.

In the wake of the recent developments, authorities have also set up a reunification center at the Walmart near Edmond.

It must be noted that the shootout took place at a spot known to be extremely crowded. Arcadia Lake is located about 10 miles from Oklahoma City. It is nestled in the suburb of Edmond, a city with about 100,000 residents.
