As they investigated the shooting, police determined Lucas was the suspect in the killing of Donovan Wimberly. Wimberly was shot on June 14, and died on the way to the hospital, News on 6 reported.

There was an active arrest warrant for Lucas in connection to Wimberly's killing when the Tulsa shooting happened, police said.

Police have not said if the two shootings are connected.

Lucas is in the hospital and authorities said he’ll be booked into jail after he is released. Lucas will face a first-degree murder charge, as well as a gun charge, police said.
