A man is accused of stabbing a pastor to death and then abandoning her body several miles from his home, according to a report.
Last week, police in Dekalb County, Georgia, arrested Christopher Devonta Griggs, 27, in connection to the murder of Rev. Martia Harrell, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Harrell was the pastor at Connections at Metropolitan United Methodist Church.
She was found dead on May 18 along a secluded road.
Police said they believed Griggs stabbed Harrell to death in his home and then drove her to the location she was found, according to the Journal-Constitution.
Investigators identified Griggs as the suspect, and he was arrested. Though, authorities have not released a motive for the killing.
Griggs was charged with murder and arson and is being held in jail without bond.
