'Staring' incident leads to Pennsylvania man breaking into home, assaulting owner

A ‘staring’ incident led to a Pennsylvania man charging into a home and assaulting the owner, police say.

On June 15, authorities said the victim was on his porch assembling a baby stroller when a vehicle driven by Kenneth David Kile pulled up in front of his house.

Before driving off, Kile spun his rear tires, according to police.

The victim was inside his home a little while later when he heard a loud noise, NorthcentralPA.com reported.

According to authorities, Kile made his way into the residence and began hitting the homeowner with different objects from the kitchen.

The report stated Kile grabbed the homeowner by the throat and choked him and also hit him over the head with a coffee mug.

Police arrived at the scene and said they found several broken items in the kitchen. They also saw lumps on the victim’s head and cuts on his hands.

Officials said two children were also in the home when the assault took place.

Police found Kile at his residence and Kile said he did not remember going into the victim’s home.

Kile was charged with aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespassing, two counts of second-degree misdemeanor simple assault, strangulation, and recklessly endangering another person, officials said.
