Police Arrest Two Men Who Shot an Oregon Dad in front of His Little Boys Outside In-N-Out

Third suspect Anthony Taylor-Manriquez still at large
A late-night trip to In-N-Out Burger turned into a nightmare for an Oregon family after a father was shot in the head while driving away from the restaurant with his wife and two young sons, according to police.
The incident happened around 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 9 near the intersection of Keizer Station Boulevard and Ulali Drive NE in Keizer. Investigators said the family had just left the drive-thru when gunfire erupted, shattering the vehicle’s windows.
Marcio Garcia, 28, was struck in the back of the head by a bullet while his children, ages 2 and 7, were inside the car. Despite his injuries, Garcia managed to drive his family away from the scene and get them to safety, according to information shared by his wife on a GoFundMe page.
“Our family experienced something no one is ever prepared for,” the fundraiser states. “While at Keizer Station, we were caught in a shooting. By the grace of God, we are all alive. But my husband was hit and suffered a gunshot wound.”
Police said another person walking nearby was also struck by gunfire during the shooting. That victim survived and was treated at a local hospital.
Two Have Been Arrested, Third Suspect on The Run

Keizer police announced on May 13 that two Salem men had been arrested in connection with the shooting. Ethan Adrian Armenta-Lagunas, 20, and Gabriel “Alex” Javier, 18, were booked into the Marion County Jail on charges that include first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, criminal mischief, and recklessly endangering another person.
Investigators said they are still searching for a third suspect, 22-year-old Anthony Taylor-Manriquez, who, like the other two suspects, is from Salem.
Police warned that Taylor-Manriquez should be considered “armed and dangerous” and asked the public for help locating him.
Authorities said Armenta-Lagunas was arrested early May 13 after Keizer Police Department and Salem Police Department SWAT Team officers executed a search warrant at an apartment. Investigators said several firearms were recovered from the residence, including one believed to have been used in the shooting.
Family Cites Survival as a Miracle

Garcia survived the attack and is now recovering at home after surgery. The bullet from his head had been removed, according to his wife.
“The doctor told us what we already believe, this is nothing short of a miracle,” she wrote in the GoFundMe fundraiser. “Now he faces a long road of rest, healing, and recovery.”
She also described how her husband protected the family in the middle of the chaos, praising him.
"He protected our family before thinking of himself," the fundraiser says. "That is the kind of man and father he is."
