Ohio Man Accused Of Murdering 30-Weeks-Pregnant Woman During Dispute
An Ohio man is accused of fatally shot a woman who was weeks away from giving birth, authorities said.
According to Steubenville police, Carol Barnett, 22, was in a vehicle with 30-year-old Joshua Woodland on May 26 when the two got into a dispute, WTRF reported.
During the disagreement, Woodland allegedly shot Barnett, according to police.
Officials said Woodland’s sister and a toddler were also in the vehicle when the incident occurred, according to WTOV.
On June 1, Jefferson County prosecutors confirmed the victim was 30 weeks pregnant when she died.
Woodland was booked into the Jefferson County jail and now faces two counts of murder.
