The motive behind the shooting remains unclear. Authorities have not released details about what may have led to the incident. However, video circulating on social media showed a tense scene near the valet area. Officers were seen holding one man on the ground while trying to restrain another who appeared to be resisting. The footage has not been independently verified, but it matched the location described by police.
The shooting comes more than three years after the death of Takeoff, another member of Offset’s rap group, Migos. Takeoff was shot and killed outside a bowling alley in Houston in 2022, when he was 28. Patrick Xavier Clark was charged in that case. However, he has pleaded not guilty, and his trial is expected to begin in November.
Offset rose to fame as a part of the rap group Migos, who are known for their hit tracks such as “Bad and Boujee,” “Open It Up,” “Need It,” “Walk It Talk It,” and more. The group also included Quavo and Takeoff; Migos split after the latter’s death. Quavo and Offset focused on their solo work after 2022.
Offset has released numerous standalone projects, with his album “Father of 4” released in 2019. His other work includes the album “Set It Off” released in 2023 and “Kiari” released in 2025.
