'I Make Every Situation The Best': Suspects Make Light Of Jail Situations For Cameras In 'Cops' and 'Jail' Marathon On REELZ

“I make every situation the best.”

It’s a good motto for life. Sadly, it’s probably not the best idea when being searched during processing at a jail after being arrested for alleged shoplifting.

But that is what one suspected criminal said in a Salt Lake City area jail as she was booked in connection to theft and lying to police. The scene was captured on “COPS” and “Jail” and documented so the public can see what law enforcement deals with on a daily basis.

Now, REELZ is offering a marathon of “COPS” and “Jail” starting July 1 and running through the Fourth of July. The marathon of shows detailing real-life law enforcement works starts on Friday and runs straight through the weekend.

In a preview of one episode, a camera crew is in Utah jail when a young woman is brought in on suspicion of shoplifting. An officer details how she allegedly used her minor cousins as lookouts.

The suspect also tried to say she was a minor, but police confirmed she was an adult. The suspect then tried to run but was apprehended.

Her jovial attitude is caught on camera, but it makes taking her through the booking process difficult.

REELZ brought “COPS” back after the show went off the air. The channel now runs classic episodes showing the real-life events of police without any filter.

The marathon comes as REELZ is also nearing the premiere of “On Patrol: Live” from the creators of “Live PD.” That show promises to give viewers a real-time look at police responses and live analysis of officers’ decisions.
