Man Kills Roommate, Puts Her Body In Closet Before Ramming Ex-Girlfriend’s Car With Victim’s Vehicle: Police

A North Carolina man allegedly killed his roommate and then used her car to ram into his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle, authorities said.

Shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 11, officers with the Asheboro Police Department responded to a call about a crash and three people fighting, Randolph News Now reported.

According to police and crash reports obtained by the outlet, David James Alexandro Rosales, 26, allegedly told officers at the scene that he rammed the vehicle twice and assaulted the two occupants — one of whom was reportedly his ex-girlfriend — with a knife.

Police arrested Rosales on multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault on a female, communicating threats, and damage to personal property.

Once in custody, Rosales allegedly told Asheboro police he had murdered his roommate, later identified as Katie Bishop, 44, and revealed her body was in a closet at the apartment they shared in Randleman, police said.

Authorities in Randleman went to the suspect’s apartment, where they entered through a window and found Bishop’s body in a closet.

According to officials, Bishop appeared to have been beaten and stabbed.

Rosales now faces a murder charge in connection with his roommate’s death. He was being held without bond at the Randolph County jail.

The motive for the killing is unknown, police stated.
