A teen is accused of smothering his half-sister to death and then stuffing her body in a plastic bin behind their home.
On July 20, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina announced the arrest of William Micah Hester, 17, in connection to the death of Joanna Lockaby, 4.
Hester is being held in jail on a murder charge.
Recently, deputies responded to a home after a report that Lockaby was missing, according to the sheriff’s office. Police searched and found the victim a short time later, dead, in a plastic bin behind her home.
Investigators said Hester suffocated the victim. He was her half-brother, according to the sheriff’s office.
The motive for the killing remains under investigation.
