Restaurant employee follows girl into bathroom, sexually abuses her: report

A South Carolina restaurant worker was caught on camera following a girl into the bathroom and then sexually abused the child, police say.
On July 30, Manuel Cuim, 18, was working at a restaurant in Chapin, South Carolina, when deputies from the Richland County Sheriff's Office were called about an assault.
According to authorities, the girl’s family said she went into the bathroom, which is when Cuim followed her in.
Cuim then touched the child inappropriately, but the girl fought him off, WYFF reported. The girl called for her parents, who ran into the bathroom to save the girl from the alleged abuse.
Police confirmed Cuim was seen on surveillance footage following the girl into the bathroom.
Cuim was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor less than 11 years old and kidnapping, officials said.
He is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County, South Carolina.
