Front Page Detectives reported that public searches were suspended on March 21, but the Department of Natural Resources would be using boats and sonar to check local rivers and ponds.

Even with public searches suspended, Turner said the department is working on the case in cooperation with the Indiana State Police, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Natural Resources and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Turner said, “Officers are following leads and investigating diligently.”

K9 teams are still being utilized and he said the public searches being suspended was their attempt “to lessen any interference with their operations.”

Scottie was last seen on March 16 after Turner said he and his mother got into "just a normal mom and son argument and he walked away." The teenager is the subject of a statewide Silver Alert.

He is described as a white male who stands 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, officials said. He has brown hair, blue eyes and was last wearing a white T-shirt, black and red shorts and black shoes.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Scottie Morris is urged to call the Eaton Police Department at (765) 396-3297 or 911.
