When talking to police, Dreau Rogers said Destiny Rogers was shot by another man during an argument between that man and Dreau Rogers. He claims she was hit while she was standing behind Dreau Rogers.

Authorities said they talked with the other man, who happened to have an alibi along with text messages and pictures showing he was in another location at the time the shooting took place.

During the investigation, police said a gun matching the caliber used in the shooting was found in the kitchen along with bags of methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl pills.

Dreau Rogers was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, officials said.
