Source Reveals NBC’s Secret Code To Savannah Guthrie In Case Of New Nancy Guthrie Development

Savannah Guthrie's mom Nancy Guthrie missing for over two months
NBC anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, has been missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona, for more than two months.
Although the investigation is ongoing, authorities have not named a suspect or a person of interest. As concerns grow about her condition, a source has shared what would happen if there are any major developments in the case.
Savannah Will Be Pulled ‘Mid-segment’
Savannah Guthrie returns to NBC show
Speaking with the Daily Mail, the insider said NBC has a plan for what would happen if her return to the public eye is temporary. In the event of major developments in her mother’s case while she is on air, she would be pulled from the broadcast using a protocol.
The source said she would immediately be taken “mid-segment.” The insider said, “She would understand that there was news about her mom and we’d take her into an office and tell her, at the same time that another anchor would report it as a breaking story. We would never in a million years have her report on the developments unless she wanted to. She knows if one of the producers tells her she’s ‘needed off set,’ that there’s a development.”
However, the source said Guthrie “trusts us to tell the story respectfully…we would never want to hurt her.” It has been reported that NBC would not air breaking news involving her family out of sensitivity for the presenter.
The source told the outlet that the network’s top leadership has supported her since the beginning of the investigation into Nancy Guthrie, regardless of her decision to return to the screen.

Meanwhile, a new alleged “ransom note” has surfaced in recent weeks. TMZ obtained a note from someone who claimed to have information about Guthrie’s abductors. The note stated that their previous offer to provide key information in exchange for Bitcoin still stands.
“It’s unbelievable that millions have been wasted and yet here I am willing to deliver them on a silver platter since the 11th of February for a bitcoin, but I am disregarded as a scam. They are free and the case is frozen but the ego's [sic] remain hot when it comes to me. Arrogance at it's [sic] finest,” the note read.
The sender of the second note claimed that they spotted Nancy “alive with them in the state of Sonora, Mexico.”
