On Feb. 11, deputies from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to an apartment complex in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, after seven 911 calls about a shooting.

As deputies went to the scene, Tydreke Fleming called 911 and said he and his cousin wrecked in a car and that the cousin had been shot, according to the sheriff’s office. Officers arrived at the crash and found Tykeil Fleming lying across the front seat of the car with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to hospital, where he died.

Investigators learned Tykeil Fleming was visiting a woman at the complex, Sharlize Burgos, and she was also a suspect in the incident. But Burgos fled to New Jersey before police could speak to her.

Last week she was arrested in New Jersey and charged with both accessory before the fact of murder and accessory after the fact of murder.
