Tallahassee Woman Accused Of Savage Assault After Heated Argument About TV Ownership

Police Say Heated Domestic Fight Over Television Led To Brutal Assault
A Tallahassee woman was released on bond Sunday after police said she attempted to kill her boyfriend during a physical fight over a television and other personal property on April 11.
Police arrested Teariney Dixon, 37, at her home following a domestic violence call at her boyfriend’s apartment. Dixon faces a charge of attempted murder.
How Did the Dispute Over the TV Remote Start
The confrontation began when Dixon’s boyfriend accused her of seeing another man and asked her to leave, according to a probable cause affidavit.
A probable cause affidavit is a sworn statement by police outlining the evidence that justified an arrest.
The boyfriend told officers that Dixon refused to leave without a purse and a television. He said the fight turned physical after he threw the contents out of the purse, which he claimed to have purchased.
